Self-healing and review
How Sakiori looks for an element
When a step’s element isn’t where it was recorded, Sakiori looks for it the way a person would, in order:
- Where it was when recorded.
- By its name and label.
- By what it does on the page: a button that submits a form, a link to a page, the field labelled “Price”.
Every lookup is listed in plain words on the step:
✕ Where it was when recorded · ✕ A button named “New item” · ✓ Closest match “Add item”, 99% sure
It continues only when it’s confident it found the right element and the step still produces what the recording saw happen, such as “Item created” appearing.
When it isn’t sure
Sakiori only repairs a step on its own when it’s confident. Below that, the run stops for review and shows its best guess with screenshots. You can answer “Yes, use ‘Save’ and run again”, or pick a different element. Your answer updates the test and teaches the next run.
The review queue
Heals to confirm and failures to triage come into a single queue. Each item shows the recorded page next to today’s page, with the element outlined on both, and the reasoning behind the decision.
